Default A3o hits top pair on very scary flop in a limped pot.

Villain is 44/11.5/1.69 over 200 hands. I don't have a specific read though.

You like my flop 3-bet? I figure he's raising a draw much more than a limped ace. I'm calling down the cap except if a spade hits. Do you raise/fold the river for value?

This seems excessive to me. You're putting A LOT of money into a very small pot which is very expensive when you have the worst of it.

This is a tough hand to play, but I think I'd take a passive line here rather than going nuts.

Do you mean calling down most turns and river after the flop raise (except for a spade).

I think you can call a flop raise and call down non-spade turn/river. If you're ahead here on the flop you have a very vulnerable hand, and if you're behind you have few if any outs to catch up. This isn't the type of hand you want to be getting really aggressive with.

I don't even like the flop bet yo. That guy will bet all kinds of trash if you check the flop. Try to induce bluffs here, because on this board with your hand you're not going to win a big pot.

Clearly you played it perfectly then - why post the hand?

This guy limped. I sometimes bet this flop if I think THAT will make him bluff. The rest of the time I check if I think THAT will make him bluff.

Also you really can't discount a flopped flush. If you won this time, next time playing like this you will lost a big pot. And I would guess more often than not.

Somebody once posted about playing small pots, and how betting a flopped pair of aces is usually bad.

I like, on this board, c/c, c/c, c/r. And win.
