how much money would you take in exchange for one year in prison?

we just got to talking about this based on the neteller arrests - how much money would it take for you to agree to go into a federal prison for one full year,

a) if you were guaranteed immunity from butt-raping?
b) if there was no guarantee?

one guy i work with says he wouldn't do a year for $20 million even with the guarantee. how about you guys?

He probably hasn't done any risk analysis. His whole life isn't worth more than $5M. I'd be surprised if you could get anyone with much knowledge of how much the average person's time is worth to pay more than $100,000 for a year of time. Personally, I'd probably do it for $500,000. The butt-sex guarantee is really only useful as a bargaining chip to get more money, but I don't think butt-sex is anywhere close to the worst thing that could happen to a person in prison.

really depends on what prison you'd be going to. if you're going to whatever prison white collar criminals go to (i.e. no worse than medium security) i'd say it would be in the range of a million bucks, tax free, based on my current life. if i didn't have a serious relationship and a career that would be interrupted, probably a good bit less.

i'm not the pretty type but i think it would cost more to put me in supermax.

OK, so how much is a human life worth, in the very dry and cruel $$ that we're discussing here? It's a [censored] thing to have to think about, but insurance companies and courts have to do it all the time in cases of Wrongful Death.
