Default GSWarrios/Pacers 8 player trade

From http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2733891

[ QUOTE ]
The Golden State Warriors have agreed to trade Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod to the Indiana Pacers for Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell, NBA front-office sources tell ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

The trade is scheduled to be announced later Wednesday.

After leading scorer Jermaine O'Neal, Harrington and Jackson were Indiana's top scoring threats, averaging 15.9 and 14.1 points, respectively. Jasikevicius, who's started only one game this season, is averaging 7.4 points.

[/ QUOTE ]

Obviously as a GSW fan, im ecstatic to get rid of Murphy and his ridiculous contract. I'm kind of gonna miss Dunleavy, he was playing really well as a 6th man.

Just checked out all the player's salary figures over at HoopsHype.com.

Warriors get:
SJax : 3 more years, $21.5m. ($7.2 mill/yr)
AHarrigton : 3 more years, $27.5m. ($9.2 mill/yr)
Jasikevicius: 1 more year, $4.0m. ($4.0 mill/yr)
Pacers get:
TMurphy : 4 more years, $42.0m. ($10.5 mill/yr)
Dunleavy : 4 more years, $37.5m. ($9.4 mill/yr)
Diogu : 3 more years, $9.0m. ($3.0 mill/yr)

RJ might be right. This is looking awesome from the Warriors side.

O'neal must be thrilled with the Pacers.

If Bird wants to trade for white guys, at least go after Dirk or Steve Nash.

This is an awesome trade, but I sort of fear for Stephen Jackson in Oakland. Bad things are going to happen, you wait and see.

I fear for Larry Legend. I think he's going to have a nervous breakdown within the next two years.

In other news, though this is a good deal for the Warriors, it won't make much immediate impact. It's a sweet financial move.

In more other news, Dunleavy looks like a strung out coke head.

I actually think this could be a good trade for both teams with a lot of players seemingly needing a fresh start. Its not like either were really going anywhere as they were currently assembled anyway.

Indy moving jackson makes sense, but not harrington.

Anyone have an opinion on how this effects jacksons playing time?

Also, Nelson is totally loading up the offensive weapons. This is the new Mavs. No D.

YES!!!! Dunleavy is awful. Murphy is awful. Stephen Jackson obv belongs in Oakland, and W's have coveted Harrington for a while.

I'm thrilled!
