Re: Stupid Donks
well, I think this is a pretty poor bet by villain and I don't think it's usually a Queen either. However, from some history with these type of bets, I still like a call here on the turn because I think this guy fires a lot again on the river.
I don't think raising the river is that bad either. I raise the turn here sometimes too. I think it's right to get a raise in somewhere though. |

Re: Stupid Donks
elf-
its not easy at all really because we have the best hand plenty often enough to get more bets in here. A queen checkraises far more often. |

Re: Stupid Donks
Against an unknown, easy call down.
With a read, I will more often than not raise/fold the river. |

Re: Stupid Donks

can we not assume that an unknown checkraises a queen here more often than not? That's more how I'd play an unknonwn. |

Re: Stupid Donks
Probably he's trying to rep the queen but doesn't actually have one.
I generally just call twice since I dislike raise-folding (especially against an unknown) and I don't want to pay 3 BBs on the big streets to show down. I'm not sure what's actually best, though. |

Re: Stupid Donks
If you are going to raise, I like a raise on the river.
There's a decent chance that he is bluffing and if he is, let him bluff twice. Also, if this is an unknown, there is a chance you might get outplayed on the turn. Some people are capable of say donk 3B'ing the turn w/ say JT. Very few are going to 3B the river if they're not serious. For me, if he is a complete unknown, I'm just calling down. If I have a line on his play, I will raise the river. |

Re: Stupid Donks
I call down. I see quite a few donks when the turn pairs the board in the 2/4 games I play in. If you're behind you lose the minimum and if you're ahead let him keep bluffing.
