Default ($27t) AKs facing big 4.5x re-raise PF

3rd or 4th hand of SNG. I made a std raise, and then got it repopped to 18xbb. What are you doing when the action gets back to you?

With villain's action in this hand it seems somewhat likely he'll call your push. Assuming no other action I would probably just call, see a flop, and take it from there. Maybe I am too conservative, but it is so early to put it all on a flip, and you have plenty of time to rebound if you need to get away.

IMO, calling is the worst option of the three. You are investing for 24% of you stack pf, and will be folding on the flop 2/3 of the time. I would rather fold than call.

Assuming no real read on the villan I dislike a call here - it's either a push or fold and live to fight another day.

I would push - but I'm one of those people who probably overvalue A,Ks. I push and look to double up.

Hmm, yeah you would be calling about 20% of your remaining stack. Normally I hate building a big pot early in the tourney with AK, but the pot is already about 1/3 of your stack. You are right that calling is not optimal here- it would make sense if the pot were smaller and the raise was a smaller % of your stack.

After re-reading curtains' AK article because I thought there was a similar example, I saw he only called for about 10% of his stack and says calling for 15-20% PF is generally wrong - you should be pushing at that point.

No read: fold, but it's really close. Any sort of a read that he may not be very good, and I'd push.

This is a good time for sharkscope, if he's good fold, if he's not push.

This is a tough spot. The big size of the raise just makes me think, that he`s prolly got AK also and doesnt wanna see a flop. I can`t see many people playing QQ+ that way. That would just be stupid.
At a 27$, i guess that i`m still pushing here. Prolly flipping pretty often.
But as mentioned...sharkscope is a real chipsaver in these situations.
