Does anyone know the rake structure @ the winstar poker room? I have heard conflicting information.

i know for sure it's 10%/5 max. i can't remember if it's $1 or $2 they take out extra though. i know they take $1 for bad-beat jp and i think one more for some state thing...maybe the education fund this guy is talking about. games are so soft, they could take $10 out and 4/8 would still be profitable.

I know they take a .50 ante on the blackjack tables, but I don't know anything about the education fund drop in the poker room. As far as I know, the rake is 10% up to $5 and $1 for the bad beat.

P.S. Any new info/rumors on extended hours or the new room?

last i heard, they were making it 24-hours starting feb/now i guess. anyone been there recently to confirm/deny this?

20 percent of the one dollar education fund does go towards the bad beat, and other promotions

I was up there last night and this is what I found out:

1. 24/7 sometime within the next two to three weeks. They are looking for more of everything. Dealers, staff, security, etc.

2. The new poker room will open sometime around May 1st. Supposed to be 50+ tables. This brings us back to point 1 though. If they are having trouble finding enough dealers etc. for 24/7 how can they support a 50 table room.

3. Also heard that the Chocktaw Casino in Durant is scheduled to open March 1st. Supposed to be really nice with a 18 table poker room. One guy who got a walk through says it right up there with some of the nioce Vegas rooms. We'll see.

The Rake is $5 plus $1 jp drop. The $4/$8 with a full kill is the nuts. Played this for a couple of hours last night. They do a splash the pot for $100 every 30 minutes on Monday. My table was selected and it happened to be a kill. Long story short is was capped 9 ways preflop for a $388 pot preflop. We ended up going 3 bets on the flop and my flopped set of 2s took down a $500+ pot. Took me and the chip runner awhile to rack it all up and color up.... [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

They also have aces cracked get $100 on Tuesday and high hand every 2 or 3 hours on Wednesday and Thursday.
