Resteal from SB
Bodog $10 rebuy
Blinds are 300/600 about 20 away from the money Folds around to the loose aggressive button (has around 20000) and he raises to 2600. I have A10s in the SB with about 10400 and push. His overbet is screaming weakness and his hand range is already huge. Do you guys agree with this? I cant see calling of a quarter of my stack and at the same time i'm pretty confident i have the best hand. Should i wait for a better situation or is this ok for a resteal??? |

Re: Resteal from SB
this isnt a resteal . you have a legit hand and prob the best hand against a button raise this is another no brainer move. calling is horrible and so is folding too weak tight

Re: Resteal from SB
Good push.
I would pull a stop and go here (call pf and push any flop) because you can get him to lay down AJ/AQ/AK/pocket pairs on a scary flop. I prefer the S&G but your push is fine. |

Re: Resteal from SB
I probably push, but I am not sure whether the big raise is a weak hand or a reasonably strong hand that doesn't want loose action. A higher ace is possible.

Re: Resteal from SB
I did not really consider the S&G because I saw the raiser call substantial all ins before with bottom pair and a gutshot.
I guess i just felt funny putting my tournament at risk with just A10, but I do feel it was the right move. BTW he called with KQo and turned a Q. The thing with Bodog's structure is that it goes 300/600 then 400/800 but then makes a big jump to 600/1200. I always try to brace myself for that jump because you could have an ok chipstack at 400/800 and then suddenly be on the short side when blinds go up. That was also a big factor in my decision. |
