Human Guinea Pig on Discover Channel

I met this guy right before he went on tour with the Jim Rose Circus , which is essentially a travelling freakshow/sideshow type of thing. HIs gig there was your typical sword swallowing/skin piercing/hanging weights from himself/fire eating type of thing.

He's a good friend of my sister in law and he seemed like a really nice guy. He was a little freaky looking/tatooed up but he was very genuine and had no hang ups about being rebellious or defensive about his looks, he was just who he was.

Turns out he got a show on Discover channel called Guniea Pig (might only be on Discovery Canada) Check it out here, clips too I think

Essentially he is a human Guinea Pig (go figure)

On his first show he was used to test out non-lethal crowd controls weapons. He was:
- pepper-sprayed (liquid)
- shot with high powered powdered pepper pellets (say quickly 5 times)
- shot with large calibre pepper pellets (looked as big as a grenade)
- was tasered

There was at least one more thing that was shot at him, but I forget. He did all of this on the same day. There was a postscript that he walked with a cane for 4 days after and it took a month for all the bruises to heal. Those freaking pellets were nasty, hit him at very high speed and left nasty marks like a paintball, but much worse.

On tonight's episode he gets bitten 37 times by various snakes, fire ants, killer bees, etc (by 9 different vermin)

My wife and I really enjoyed the first show (my wife has know him since he was in junior high), so I thought I post about it, I think its worth a look.

Is there something weird about his looks I'm not seeing?

He used to look alot more like he belonged in a freak show...lots of facial piercings, crazy dyed hair, tats, etc...

Looks pretty normalish now, put on about 25lbs in the last few years too....
