NL200 2 complicated hands
55/6/1.3 Wts: 29 / 170 hands
I am not sure if his PFR is "6" or the samplesize is fooling me.. Nonetheless he is a big fish so I cannot give him too much credit ... he didn't match a 2-3 barell fire guy..but he is kinda unpredictable on the other side... Final Pot: $276.35 I doubt he would bet AK on the turn again and his range is probably JJ+/AK so I figured I am behind most of the time.. and reraising the flop might drive him off 6outs for AK but unsure if this is the better play.. __________________________________________________ __________ 27/20/4.7 wts 27 / 90 hands PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG ($287.25) Button ($527.55) SB ($393.10) Hero ($675.80) Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Button raises to $8, 1 fold, Hero raises to $24, Button calls $16. Final Pot: $804.55 I was multitabling and the situation was kinda weird.. Should just fold the turn.. but I figured he would pay me off if I hit and while I put him now clearly on a set, in action at the tables, I thought my ace and king outs might be good.. So around 15outs and implied odds when I hit -> optimistic (in reality I guess I had around 7outs).. Pot laid 413:140 = 2.95:1 so I thought I might be able to call him and value bet the river and getting paid off most of the time.. so in reality I pay around 140 for a pot of 550-650$.. I guess this was all too optimistic and a fold or maybe even a allinshove would have been better.. (all in if I put him on toppair or a underpair á la 77-99 which he might fold). Thoughts appreciated.. thanks |

Re: NL200 2 complicated hands
hand 1: fold the flop unless you have a read on his playing of reraised pots and if a slight overbet is standard.. for his stats this looks like a super easy fold on the flop
hand 2: you can't go all in if you put him on an "underpair"... you have to put him on an underpair that will fold a significant portion of the time. personally I don't think he ever has an underpair raising on the turn there... also he definately didnt after pushing the river unless 77?? most likely.. he called for set and got there.. was waiting until the turn to raise you. You played your hand fine, next time hit a heart. |

Re: NL200 2 complicated hands
well
hand 1: he could have easily AK and cb the flop.. but pot size sucks I doubt he would do that with AK.. he is so fishi that he thinks on lvl1 and is like "I got a good hand, I bet big, narf".. Guess with deeper stacks it's an easy flop fold.. otherwise if I see him doing cb with overcards or even playing a smaller PP than JJ that strong then I should raise the flop and call an allin.. Hand 2: Guess this is a Situation where folding is almost out of question.. He could have a set, weird straight, smaller flushdraw+weird straightdraw or simply overpair.. if he has either 22,44,66,JJ I am toast but if he has QQ I am in good shape on the turn.. Shoving might make him fold a strong hand like TpTk or 88-TT.. and against QQ I've got around 68% / 32%.. if he has no heart then it's 66/34.. with that huge pot size shoving the turn has it's merits.. The pot is 413$ so I shove 391.55$ (-140$ I would have to pay for calling anyways..) with the possibility to induce a fold or hit one of my outs..Maybe some of the time he has just a flushdraw with a pair and those times shoving is gold.. Nonetheless I feel super bad in that situation.. maybe calling is still superior. Equitywise I am toasted if he has AA or KK and even worse against a set.. but implied odds are better I guess.. I am kinda lost here.. seems like folding/shoving and calling aren't real mistakes. |

Re: NL200 2 complicated hands
hands1: against a tight opponent I would fold on the flop, against an unknown opponent I like as played.
hand2: If you had normal stacks I would check push the turn, but with these deep stacks I like it as played. |
