$20/ 90- Raise turn or River w/ the nuts vs. agg bettor
Table seemed passive up to this point, hence the UTG limp with this suited gapper. Like to play these sparingly early on in a tourny from any P if theres alot of limping goin on, cuz when you hit you often get paid. Anyway, SB pots the flop and the turn when I fill up. So ....raise here or call and hope he fires the river? I would think a call here is means for him to slow way down and check the river which makes way for a value bet by me which may or may not get called. If I raise the turn it may look like a steal or semibluff and he may put his chips in if he actually has a hand but will fold if he has nothing. Curious as to what line others would take?

Re: $20/ 90- Raise turn or River w/ the nuts vs. agg bettor
Seems like BB likes his hand. Maybe he has an overpair?
If you raise, he's probably not going to call as you probably have him beat. On the other hand if he's holding 22 or 44, you are taking all of his chips whether it's on the turn or the river. I think your best bet is to call and then see what he does on the river. Probably push the river then. |
