Default Preflop hand from Cardrunners video

5/10nl green plastic in the bb

folded to button who makes it $35, sb folds, gp folds 54s saying that he didn't want to play it out of position.

is this not a very easy call? effective stacks were 90bbs. he said if the stacks were 150bb's he would have called.

what breakpoint in stack sizes would you fold/call here? i only would have folded if other guy had like 30-40bbs. too loose?

54 in a most likly hu pot oop is not good. its gonna be extremly hard to play oop vs a button raiser. you are better of reraising or folding it.

I mean reraising 54s here has nothing to do with the actual hand, just if you want to take advantage of button's too-wide opening.

To actually play the hand for the hand's value Id probably do do >150bb

its a standard fold with 90bb, I call too often in these spots though. vs some type of opponents its ok to call. for example if his raising range even from the button is extremely tight and he is very bad at laying down good hands.

Why do you think such breakpoint even exists ?

vs a button open you have very limited implied odds, even if you are deep. In other words never call if you are just planning to c/f all the flops you miss.

Are you more inclined in general to call an UTG raise with 54s from BB than a buttons raise with 100bb?

this is wayyy opponent dependent obv.

not to mention the c-bet frequency of UTG is relatively higher
