The sb was at 28/12/3 over 150 hands and I had been playing reasonably loose and aggressive over the 45 hands I had been at the table. Turn looked like a good spot to throw another bet and fold a jack or some weak king. On the river I didnt see this opponent check calling two streets with much that could call a shove but since the spades missed is this a bad spot to bluff.

bet more on the flop. after he calls the turn you can be pretty sure he doesnt have [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and so if this guy is very good this is an ok spot, if hes a bit stubborn this is an ok spot, if hes sort of mediocre once he calls the turn im not sure he believes you.

pretty bad spot to bluff considering he called the turn. he probably has AJ or something, but I still see him calling.
on a side note, why would you c-bet that flop? thats such a terrible board to c-bet, especially 3-way |

on a side note, why would you c-bet that flop? thats such a terrible board to c-bet, especially 3-way [/ QUOTE ] The last few hands I had raised preflop the flop also had bad texture and I hadn't bet so I thought this would be a good spot to try and betting into two people would make it believable. Also, both the bb and sb called with a wide range of hands out of position. Is this bad reasoning for betting this flop? |

Could you explain why he should bet more on the flop?

When he calls the turn on a scary board, he probably has something pretty good and he doesn´t seem like the type to make a big river fold.

Dont bet flop. As played once you bet flop, dont represent the ace on turn here, just c/f. Q10 just got there and Ax that called your flop bet just hit two pair, spades might of hit a gutshot+fd, and then there are hands that are slowplaying etc.. On river you are probally going to get looked up by alot of random stuff. Dont expect the villan who called OOP with a mediocre holding to make a laydown.
