Default NL100 - 88 overpair makes boat

Villain is passive preflop. Postflop I've only seen him get aggressive when he actually had a good hand. Stats like 30/6 but only after 50 hands or so.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $211.70
UTG+1: $130.40
CO: $99.50
Button: $106.50
SB: $124
Hero: $98

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG calls, 3 folds, SB calls, Hero raises to $4, UTG calls, SB folds.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($9, 2 players)
Hero bets $5, UTG calls.

Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($19, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $6, Hero raises to $18, UTG calls.

I was originally only going to check-call this, but his turn bet felt very weak so I decided to go for a check-raise instead. Put him on a 4, a PP, or just missed overcards.

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($55, 2 players)
Hero bets $20, UTG calls.

I block the river with the plan to fold to a raise.

Results:
Final pot: $95

I don't mind your line at all. You've got to think your 8s are good against this guys range. Sure, he's not a real aggro player but I think you've only got two hands you'd be losing to that he doesn't raise pre-flop: 9s and 10s.

Again, perfectly std IMO.

i like raising a lot more preflop or checking. Raising to $4 might get SB out, but it doesnt define UTG's hand and i think we need to charge villan extra if we gonna raise since we playing OOP.

Post flop looks pretty good to me. I think i'd do about the same thing on the turn. I might check river, i just have no idea what he has and therefor dont see a reason to bet, especially since he seems to bet with such weakness when checked to so far. U prolly get a cheaper showdown by checking to him.

Minor, but I'd have made it $6 on the flop rather than $5. Whilst I'd normally say that a turn check/raise is bad because it makes worse hands fold and there aren't that many draws we're scared of, we can call on Zeebo's theorem: "Nobody EVER EVER folds a fullhouse".

I have almost 1.5 x pot behind. thats a big difference if I'm to consider pushing.

Flop bet is too small ... make it $7 (or at least $6)
If you c/r the turn, then c/r bigger as a bluff ... else just call. I would c/c since no one ever folds a fh.

That doesn't make sense to me. If you think noone ever folds a full house and you suspect he's on a smaller FH, then I should have checkraised bigger FOR VALUE, not as a bluff, and then pushed the river, also for value.
