call, hes obviously not folding, and you won't know where you're at

this bet can mean anything, just keep the pot small.

I would probably raise the turn to 8-ish, and probably puss out and fold if re-reraised.

Then I would check behind if checked to on the river. I don't know how I would respond to a river bet. I defintiely wouldn't raise the river again, but calling or folding would depend on whether the flush comes and how much he bets (and how frisky I'm feeling).

As the first responder said, this looks an awful lot like villian is trying to keep it cheap for his draw.

he's in a draw and wants it cheap.

I charge him.

If I was wrong I would take notes on the player.

He's either drawing or we're way behind. I don't like checking here because the board is also straightening and we are vulnerable to overcards; but I don't want to raise so much that he doesn't call. These type of villains are usually easy to get a read on so I'm not willing to shut them out of the pot just yet. If he raises you on the turn you know you're dog meat. If he just calls then his river betting or checking will give away his hand strength.

I raise to 8 on the turn.

I'd raise the turn to about 9.
Smells like he's trying to set his price for either a draw or to get to showdown 'cheap' with 88,TT,JJ.

If he pushes over the top of your turn raise it makes it awkward because his range still includes overplayed TT,JJ, maybe a stupidly slowplayed AA,KK, a strangely played draw/combodraw, or a set.

So is the line bet-fold to a push or bet-call on the turn?
If we bet 9 and are called, do we call a river push if it bricks?

I'm thinking bet-fold to AI or AI on river might be best, but I'd like to hear other opinions.
