Default Pushing All-In then Hiding

Wondering if any other online players do this? When I'm in the later stages of a MTT I've been known to either close (minimize) the game window, go out of the room, etc. when I push all in. I just can't watch the flop. Then, I'll either wait for the window to pop back up or cautiously step back into the room and peek at the monitor to see if my chair is empty or if I've just doubled up. Does anyone else do this or am I the only "chicken" willing to admit to this? Can't really do this live, but I have turned my back on the flop playing live. Once time in particular when I had QQ and the guy called me with AJ. Of course, I knew the ace hit when everyone behind me went, oooooohhhhhh.

I do similar things in marginal or bluff situations - usually when I know I shouldn't really have done it in the first place. I don't close the window but I often focus on the other table I'm playing.

It's kind of cowardly but serves a useful function - it lowers my adrenaline levels and makes it more of an "i don't care I can't control it anyway" thing which hopefully wards off tilting a bit.

I do it all the time, lately when I'm all in I'll be ahead and then see two cards suited with his [censored] pocket pair on the flop and as soon as I think oh [censored], here comes the other two, they do. I have flush draw powaz, at least when I'm not going for the flush.

Hahaha, I do this all the time. I thought I was the only freak who did this.

It can actually cause for less emotional ups and downs than if you're watching the board. Say you have AK and you're all-in vs JJ. Boom, you spike your K on the flop. YESS!!! Blank on the turn. YESS!!! J on the river. *explodes*
If you just "hide" and come back after the whole board is played out, you're either disappointed or you're happy, but at least there's no back and forth + getting rivered hurts less.

I tend to multitable, two or three. So i kind of do what you do often, but by concentrating more on the other tables. I usually see his cards, then estimate what % I am. Just the maths nerd in me coming out!

I used to get a beer out of the fridge every time I'd go all-in preflop. This way no matter what I'd have something good to look forward to upon my return. Also stops you from flaming the guy who calls with 2,2.

eh... real ballas couldn't give less of a damn which way the cards fall, so they don't need to run around the table like chickens.
