A friend of mine played this hand. What is a good line to take on the flop if you are fairly new to the table with no reads?

raise more preflop, first of all. this little rr is begging them to hit a set.

and i'd probably just fold the flop.

I agree with raising more PF. Your friend has position- and I want to play a big pot in this spot.

I lose my entire stack on the flop by shoving, because I am a donkey who refuses to believe UTG has QQ.

For the record, I think folding this flop against unknowns is probably a mistake in the long run.

That little 's' makes all the difference here.

I just don't have the discipline to fold here online. (Yet.)

yea i suck at folding too, mostly. I'm getting back to being able to make laydowns though, which is cool.

its all about finding the smart balance between weak-tight and loose-stupid. most players online bluff less than you'd think.

Folding flop is fine. You're behind here pretty often and have to dodge Christ knows how many cards on the turn if you are in fact ahead. You unfortunately let them in a bit too cheap preflop, now get away while you can.
