How Slim an Overlay Will U Go Heads Up?
$200+$20 Local Tourney.Live. You play with these guys often.
27 players and down to the last 10, so Avg stack 54k. You have 37k and are in the BB. 1000/2000. No ante. 25 minute levels. 2k/4k;3k/6k;4k/5k then 5k/10k;10k/15k;15k/30k etc. Everyone folds to the SB who plays tight and is down to his last 3k after posting. Everyone folds to him, and he goes all in, giving you 2:1 on your money if you call. You have 65s, giving you 1.61:1 odds of winning (based upon 22+,A2+,KT+,QT+ range for opponent) which includes the .44% of the time you tie. Do you call? I did without hesitation and got some funny looks. |

With that stack... let's say top 2/3's of hands.
equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 60.651% 59.27% 01.38% 3377608808 78617552.00 { 22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q2s+, J2s+, T2s+, 94s+, 84s+, 74s+, 64s+, 54s, A2o+, K2o+, Q4o+, J6o+, T6o+, 96o+, 86o+, 76o } Hand 1: 39.349% 37.97% 01.38% 2163703800 78617552.00 { 65s } Instacall!! The fact they do not realize that's an instacall prolly means you did very well vs these opponents.. |

Recovered it and a little more and was up to about 46k when I got caught Squeezing with JTs and had to fold. So, I was back down to around 30k. Last hand, I'm in the BB, UTG goes all-in with his 28k, folded to the CO who goes all in with his 36k, and guess what I have in the Big Blind.........65s. No kidding. If neither of them have a pair and both of them have an ace and their other card is different, but higher than 6, I win 36% of the time. I called. I lost. |

Re: How Slim an Overlay Will U Go Heads Up?
Unless its winner takes all i cant see why you call against an UTG all in and CO all in.
In fact unless the stack sizes are odd, ie you are miles behind all the other stacks, i dont see a solid argument for calling here like ever. |
