Overpair facing large overbet
Nothing is known about this villan. I've only played about 20 hands with him up to this point. All I know is that he is playing at least 4 tables.
Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $173 CO: $85.20 Hero: $229 SB: $172.75 BB: $355.95 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG raises to $7, CO folds, Hero raises to $22, 2 folds, UTG calls. Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($47, 2 players) UTG checks, Hero bets $38, UTG raises all-in $151, Hero ??? This hand doesn't really make sense. AA/KK would reraise pf. My gut is that he has a middle pair, something like TT or JJ. What's your play here? |

Re: Overpair facing large overbet
i call here but expect to be behind at least some of the time. he is also just so likely to shove 1010 JJ here as well. ive had people cold call my 3 bets with AA recently at 100NL so AA/KK is not out of the picture.

Re: Overpair facing large overbet
I instacall b/c I always see people doing this with a lone ace. It's like one over + low gutshot makes donks wanna go all in.
