Default bubble call with AKo

Villan has played very tight the last ten minutes trying to slip into the money. While losing here doesnt knock me out, it puts me in a bad position stack wise. Its a tough call IMO,especially with the big stack behind. Like to hear others input.

I just noticed the button called. In that case, definitely push. Button would have raised with anything that he could call a push with, unless he is totally daft.

I push. I'm playing for the win, not just the cash. Would you push if there were 5 players left? 3 left?

Why? (Not being confrontational - just trying to learn...)

i agree this is a push but playing for the win is just wrong. You should be playing to maximize your equity in the tourament. off the top of my head lets say the button had open pushed and the small blind folded. With more players in you would snapcall, but on he bubble its a really easy fold. Its the same principle behind not knowingly takign coinflips in early levels.

for future reference, saying "i play for the win" will get you flamed because it's not a sensible money-making decision. you want to make decisions that lead to the highest average ROI and "playing for the win" does not always comply with that.

that said, i think this is an easy push even against a very narrow range. and you're not in dire chip position if you lose, you still have roughly 10 bb. if you lose and that guy really is that tight, you can just take advantage of his bb and steal with minimal risk.

ok i just did this on protools and if you give him a tight range this is a very marginal spot. i amend my earlier statement about it being an easy push. if you think he'd do this with 55 or AJ, push, otherwise im not too sure.
