Default 10/20 hand vs Gigabet

Ok, I messed this one up - comments on where exactly I messed up welcome!

4 handed typical aggro 10/20nl table. I've been raising a lot in position, as has Gigabet.

Giga has arouns $2k and I cover.

I'm dealt JJ on the button. Gigabet makes it $70, and I reraise another $140 more. He reraises another $300 more and I call, intending to get it in on a flop with no overcards. Still, I reckon I could have let it go there. Anyway..

King hi rainbow flop. He checks, I check. Turn is a brick and he leads for $500. I call.. urgh.

River is a blank and he pushes. I fold, and know I butchered this hand.

Well at least you know, thanks for the story.

No on a serious point, if you think he's bluffing i guess you have to push preflop which I don't like personally most of the time.

However, when the king hits the flop assuming he's not bluffing you don't beat anything now, just fold the flop!

IM REALly not a fan of the 4bet call. he's going to read you correctly for a very strong overpair or strong ace type hand and play perfectly against you if he was 4betting as a semibluff.

If you think he's capable of 4balling you light then a shove is fine as jma said. I think it's almost standard in c/o vs button re-steal type situations. I mean how often does he really have QQ+? You see AK a TON so just get it in and win the flip.

I think this is AK more than AA, but I agree with folding the turn.

Don't think this hand was played all that bad, though I fold turn. Where was this? Live? Stars?

If you called the turn, you should call the shove on the river. (based on your read/stack sizes)
