How Is My Student Doing? If She Does Well, I Score. FT 100.
FT NL 100, 6-max, 6-handed
So yesterday I worked like 15 hours and get home to find my wife wrapping a "marathon, swingy session" in her words. "Your buddy list is like doubling," she remarks. Btw, if you are assuming you see me on the table based on a SN, don't. I have not played under that name in a while. It's pretty much my wife's exclusively. I'm clearing a bonus under a friend's account and am starting my own soon. Last night I reviewed some of her big pot hands, and here was one that stood out. She had questions on how to handle the river. Hero has $130 and Villain covers. Reads: Villain's stats show 33/12/1.9 in 200 hands. My wife observed, "He had been making weak-ass bets on the flop and I had been raising him out." Who is this person, and what has she done with my wife??? Preflop: Hero is CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG (Villain) raises to $3, MP calls, Hero calls, others fold. Flop: ($9) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain leads for $3, MP folds, Hero raises to $16, Villain calls. Turn: ($40) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero bets $30, Villain calls. River: ($100) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] She asked, "What should I do if Villain bets? Or if he pushes all in? What should I do if he checks?" And my question for her was, "What is Villain's hand range?" Answers?

Range: Overpair, hearts, JT, fullhouse.
I think I'm going allin on river no matter what villain does.

[/ QUOTE ] Push, he's likely to be getting pissed off with these large (for him) bets and probably wont see a river pot bet as been much different to the flop pot he's been seeing. dunno about the flop, read dependent i guess.
turn is standard. river try and get AI somehow, anyhow. side note: your wife seems to have got to NL100 pretty fast. how much has she played at lower limits?

[/ QUOTE ] Tuf, She's played like 15k hands at 200! She took a hard downswing recently and feels safer at 100. She plays more than I do right now. She started last year at PP 25 and 50, but moved up when she got bored with the money at those limits. Now she's trying to become a very good player as opposed to one who can consistently win at lower limits. At one point she says she was playing 5 or 6 tables, but I think less is typical for her. Very good poker instincts and opening up her game! It's very cool for me. She likes to review hands and sessions. She reads. She watches when I play. But then, poker has been such an unexpected financial powerhouse for us that she has really grown to respect it! I should also say she plays golf (20 handicap who drives it 200 yards) and loves to watch sports.

i'm jealous [/ QUOTE ] I'm constantly LMAO when she plays. I'll be in the next room and I'll hear her cursing the screen or taunting people who can't hear her yelling. Probably a lot like Orange. Anyway, Villain checks the river. What does he call a push with? What's his range now? How much to bet?

(i'm pretty sure thats the colour i'm gonna go with) since he checked river, you're options are $44, $63 or AI i think.
