Re: Can I avoid going broke here?
not after you lead the turn, but I don't think I would lead. a flush is a large part of villains range now after flop play

Re: Can I avoid going broke here?
along the same lines of unknowns point, you can avoid going broke only if you make your turn bet while being committed to laying down to a push

Check turn. Call a donkish bet on turn, fold if he pushes IMO.

Re: Can I avoid going broke here?
Hard to read this betting pattern. His minraise means he doesn't know how to size his bets.
This board has a lot of draws including some very strong ones. I find his flop play strange for a draw since they usually just call (or push when you 3bet) but nothing is really strange in here. The turn is a tough spot. Checking gives him a free card if he is on OESD (not that likely but definitely in the range). Worse it invites a lot of difficult to call turn bluffs. So for me even though leading is likely to be spew i think it saves the most equity in the pot because it allows you to prevent bluffs and give you some chance to get away cheaply (obviously not as cheaply as c/f which is arguably the play). I think you can get away from this on the turn unless you have a read that says villain is likely to be bluffing. You are getting 3:1 to call but you are 10.5:1 to hit the boat. If he just calls you will be in the same spot on the river but I think I check and fold to most villains at that point but this is a tough question as well. |
