Default NL5 Top two against flop push

Second orbit villain has done nothing to catch my eye.

I am mostly interest in the flop decision but am curious about PF thoughts as well.

My thinking on the flop is that so many make this move with top pair, overs and air that I am looking to go ai against average villain. Enough call with pairs and I have outs even if he has the big draw or made hand which makes this a pretty easy push/raise (better to go ai on my 3bet?) against the average villain IMO.

Here is what really gives me pause. Given the flop, the hands that do this sensibly are big draws, sets (unlikely given my holding) and made st8's. The big draws are by far the most likely and are looking to go ai on the flop.

If villain is a 2+2 er and I really think he is on a big draw do I fold, call or raise? Why?

I am really curious about what the higher level players do aginst a solid 2+2 tag. I understand it is not very relevant to my actual decision here.

I think a raise is bad. Do you generally call the flop and bet if all the scare cards miss?

I think I call that flop bet, or reraise all-in right away on the flop.

Your two pair is strong, but the board is a nightmare, with straight and flush possibilities out there. I don't see the point in raising from $1 to $3.3 (if he's going to call this, he's only going to have a little left, so his push is almost automatic). if you're going to reraise, just put villain all in... or just call and re-evaluate on the turn. That K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] might have slowed you down a bit here...

Yeah, i suppose if I shove I get a little fold equity against a draw. Given the stacks I am not getting away on the turn and he might (not likely but possible) so a shove is best.

Would you call? What do you do next?

Insta-call given the money wich is allready in the pot. He started the hand 5.40, so you only have to call 1.10$ more.

You played it allright. My guess is he has a made st8 and against that you still have 4 outs or about 15%.
