Never take chances on the bubble
Stars rebuy, about 5 or 6 players to be eliminated before the money. My stack is on the small side. I could most likely fold into the money however.
Keep in mind I haven't played a tournament in several months and have forgotten anything I ever knew about poker. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t3000/t150 ante (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com MP1 (t67640) MP2 (t7255) CO (t39844) Button (t56483) SB (t67230) Hero (t25280) UTG (t44374) UTG+1 (t125330) Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 4 folds, CO raises to t9000, 2 folds, Hero... |

Re: Never take chances on the bubble
well, you're title is wrong. you've got to make moves on the bubble if you want to make the big moolah. you don't want to fold into the little money. you want the big money at the FT.
The CO is a popular place from which to steal. you've got enough chips to have fold equity if you push back. I would go all in. if he's got a bigger pair, oh well. if he's got over cards, you've got the better side of the coin flip. your M is only about 5. you need to make a move. now is the time. |

Re: Never take chances on the bubble
I was curious if the forum had improved or not while I was away. Early indications are positive.
Would anyone consider a stop and go here? |

Re: Never take chances on the bubble
The pot is already large (given your stack size) and there's no reason to put CO on an overpair. This is the type of situation you've been looking for (or it should be, with that stack) so take advantage and hope to either double up or, better yet, take down the pot uncontested.

Re: Never take chances on the bubble
stop and go here with 77 is really horrible unless it's the payout structure is ridiculously flat (and it's not, it's a regular online mtt)
and if anyone disagrees with me on that then they are wrong |

[ QUOTE ] Always take chances on the bubble [/ QUOTE ] FYP Easy push [/ QUOTE ] ok, sorry to hijack, but I was about to post this 20/180 bubble hand (19 left) myself...villain has been taking more than his share of pots uncontested around the bubble and has also re-raised from button and BB recently and taken both down pre-flop. I've been quieter and have folded to a re-raise pre-flop a few hands back. Re: Always take chances on the bubble
In the hijack hand, your read screams call, as well as your stack size. I would not fold 88 against an active player in a steal position. This is probably the result you want with your hand, as pushing might make him fold a weaker hand that he may decide to steal with (like Ax).
