Anybody gotten these? How good is the set? Would you recommend it?

Great, high quality chips, I dont suggest you get your own design as it takes longer to get to you.

I love my set, although I eventually found better on the net after a year of use.

What set was that you found that was better? What is the Stars set comparable to?

I don't own these chips, but I'm pretty sure they are ASM Horseheads from pokerchips.com. They are very high quality chips.
For a thorough review of someone's experience purchasing a custom set of these, see here. From personal experience, the customer service at pokerchips.com is excellent. I e-mailed them once with some questions and asked for a chip sample "for a small fee" and they sent me a chip sample for free. Very nice chips. |

Are you talkin about the 11.5 Composite chips?
They cost 8k right? |

They are talking about the 35k and 42k sets. These are real compression molded clay chips like Paulson's and other real casino chips and not the "clay" stuff you see all over ebay and such. I believe the 35k set are stock chips but the 42k set is fully customizable.
