NL50- Bad call on Turn?
No reads, new at the table. I should have bet more on the flop, but felt I had the best hand, and if not I was crushed, so a small bet made sense to me. On the turn, I thought that there may have been some chance that my hand was good, and with my 2 draws, even though 1 might be dead or a split that I was alright. I don't know now. So how bad was it?

Re: NL50- Bad call on Turn?
Eh, crappy spot. This would be more interesting with deeper stacks (villain only has 68bb's).
That turn is a really bad card for you - flush just made it, and JT just hit 2 pair. Given the fairly strong board, I don't think villain is doing this on just a bluff. I fold turn. (also, as you noted, bet bigger on the flop - it's a bit drawy). Hands ahead of you: AK,AJ,AT,A6,JT Hands behind you: A9??? You also have the ace of spades, so he's probably not going crazy with pair + FD. Just fold it. |

good point, and another hand that beats me is KQ. Eh.. I like this less and less the more I think about it.

Re: NL50- Bad call on Turn?
you have the nut FD.. it sucks getting c/r'd off this hand + hes unlikely to call with much you beat. Just about every hand hes calling the flop with got there. I prefer a check behind on the turn, and if you think hes capable of bluffing river, call. i wouldnt hate a fold at all though. in fat thats prolly the way i'd go.
As played make it at least $5 on the flop, and fold to his raise. that card couldnt have been worse |

Re: NL50- Bad call on Turn?
i check call the turn... your hand cannot stand a raise and you have a super strong draw.... so you want to see the river for as cheap as possible....

Re: NL50- Bad call on Turn?
Yeah a check call looks optimal.
By checking it will probably draw out a bluff from him, and you will probably get your implied odds on the river if you make the flush. |

Re: NL50- Bad call on Turn?
Hero is in position here. OP, after he checks the turn check behind, bc you don't beat much and have a strong draw. There is no reason to bet the turn here. You can't bet for value bc your hand isn't that strong and you shouldn't bluff bc your hand has showdown value. Betting the turn is bad here.
