Default Steve Paul-Ambrose folded 7\'s full in PCA!!!

This is unreal:

"The Ed Report

Steve Paul-Ambrose has been suffering and enjoying a teeter-totter day. At one point he was up to 65K. Then, later, Steve raised to 1,100 under the gun and got a call out of the big blind. On a flop of K73 with one diamond, both players checked. The turn was an eight of diamonds. Steve bet out 2.5K and the big blind raised to 9K. Steve called. The river wad the three of diamonds. The big blind pushed for 60K, covering Steve. After thinking for a long time, Steve mucked 77 for sevens full of threes. His stack was reduced to 50K (still not a bad number to have at this point). He must have had a dead-on read on the big blind. I don't think I could've found a fold here.

get over it, not that huge a deal once you actually look at the way the hand played out.

exactly what hand is the old man shoving 60k into a 20k pot with that also reraises a full PSB on the turn?

evg,
I really disagree that its not a really big deal. Even if its the right fold, its still incredibly hard to make. I mean you have the fourth nuts in a pot where the 2nd nuts dont exist (does he ever have KK here?). So you are beaten by precisely 88 and 33 (7 combos total). Now can this be a guy who can only have those hands? sure its possible. but in the moment, thats a damned hard thing to figure out.

i'm not saying i'd be able to do it, but from a theory perspective it's not a big deal.

if understanding of theory = proficiency and success then there's a lot of us that'd be doing a lot better than we are

Question: Is this fold a +EV play in long run?
