Default Are B&M games getting harder?

Question for those that have been playing live for several years. Are the games getting worse? Better? Significantly so? Does 5/10 now compare to 30/60 of 2 years ago?

I'm curious as to how the course of online poker has affected live play. Thanks for your input!

On the whole, the availability of capped buyin cash NLTH is a huge improvement. You can get more edge with less variance in those games than anything that existed 10 years ago. Yay, poker boom. I played a 40/80 at the Mirage two vegas trips ago, mostly just for nostalgia sake, and the better players were about like what I remember, but there were no rich suckers. They were all playing 5/10 NL somewhere else.

This is a very recent thread on the same subject of game selection/toughness/ect..

Games have not changed that much. Some of the mid-limit players have moved to no-limit. Some have moved back.
Not as many limit games today as there was a few years back BUT the games still play about the same.

not sure i agree........the game i usually play in ( 10/20 limit) has gotten really crazy loose, the way the 5/10 game used to play. there isn't any no-limit offered there and those are the only options for alot of players in this area. you have to get cards and make hands because these people generally will not fold. otoh, you can make alot of cash if the cards go your way. seems it has changed alot since last year at this time. just my experience.

Thanks for the tip. I did a little work with the search function before I started this thread but didn't come across anything. Here's the link in case others are interested.

I agree with "your mom", people are bad at poker. It is against normal human behavior to be a good poker player, people always have and always will gravitate towards the week loose style of play.
