Early in a $55 MTT.
MP1 is very bad and has been shoving over raises, limping Q3s in EP, etc. The table has noticed this and some have made comments about it (not the SB, but others). PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com Button (t2770) SB (t1385) BB (t4030) Hero (t1740) UTG+1 (t1495) MP1 (t1180) MP2 (t3500) MP3 (t2720) CO (t1540) Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises to t150, 1 fold, MP1 raises to t1180, 4 folds, SB raises to t1385, 1 fold, Hero ??? I put MP1 on pretty much the standard button opening range with antes (any PP, any 2 broadway, suited connectors). |

Call me crazy, but I think that I call here. I might not, if I figure that either of the two has stolen a few of my outs (assume that one of them has at a smaller PP).

Insta push.
You're only really scurred of 2 hands, and even if a villian has one of them it's neutral EV. However, you have a read that one of them probably has junk, so thats why this is even more of a call/push. This hand is really boring. |

I'd call here. SB may be trying to scare you out of the pot and isolate. Worst case scenario (well, aside from one of them having aces or kings), you're up against a pocket pair and another AK (less likely, since you hold one of each). You're 18-19% in this scenario. Every other scenario, you have at least 33% equity, possibly as much as 70%. Getting 2-1, this is a call.

Yes, I thought this was pretty easy. I don't have Pokerstove here, what's my equity against a pocket pair and a smaller ace?
Also, without the read, is this a call? |
