Default Help me pick a Tourney for Today (Live B&M)

I play live and locally can choose between the following. Both become crapshoots after the 2nd break, so I'm not listing blind structure past level 6.

$120 Freeze Out(Players receive t3,000 in chips)
Typically 100-120 players, Payouts to FT, 1st is usually ~$3500 +/-.

1 25 - 25 15 minutes
2 25 - 50 15 minutes
3 50 - 100 15 minutes
(10 minute break - to remove $25 chips)
4 100 - 200 15 minutes
5 200 - 400 15 minutes
6 300 - 600 15 minutes

$80 R/A(Players receive t500 in chips, may rebuy t500 for $40, and add-on t500 for $40)
Typically 120+ players, Payouts to FT (2 tables if more than 140 players, 1st is usually ~$7000 +/-).

1 5 - 10 15 minutes
2 10 - 20 15 minutes
3 15 - 30 15 minutes
(10 minute break - to remove $5 chips)
4 25 - 50 15 minutes
5 50 - 75 15 minutes
6 75 - 150 15 minutes

I've done well at both (FT and wins). Play will be tighter at the freezeout. If I don't double up by the first break, M will be only 10. Total Investment = $120.00

Rebuy is usual lagfest, which is why the prizepool is so much bigger. If I don't double up by first break, M will be 20. But I always have to look out for the calling stations who can't lay down pocket pairs and suckout with runner-runner. Total Investment = $80.00 to $240.00 (avg)

I know both of these suck compared to online, but between the two, which should I choose?

TIA, Rod

Most live tournament structures are going to be like this because when it all comes down to it, poker rooms are businesses that rely on turning over tournament tables more than once per day and keeping their cash games filled with the regulars as well as players that bust out of tournaments.

Based on the two you listed it seems the field sizes are about the same on average. With the average payouts you listed it seems to me you would be better off with the rebuy tournament, especially if you have the ability to take advantage of early loose play and build a stack. You're also looking at a better structure in the rebuy tournament as you'll most likely be playing with deeper stacks by the end of the first and second breaks with all the rebuys and addons in play. I would definitely pick the rebuy here. Then again, I generally favor the rebuy tournaments.
