Default Got caught with 2 Full Tilt accounts.

Not sure if this is news-worthy at all, but what the hell. Maybe this will help some people in similar situations.

I made an account at FTP a long time ago, before I even knew what rakeback was. When Party closed I played at Stars for a while but missed rakeback so I tried to switch to FTP. I emailed support repeatedly asking what I could do to get rakeback, but they kept telling me I was S.O.L. I tried pointing out to them that I never cleared the bonus with my first account. It was barely ever used at all. I didn't want to have two accounts, I just wanted one with rakeback. They were very obtuse and just kept repeating policy this, policy that.

I decided to make a second account so that I could get rakeback. I just used a different address and funding method. My second account worked fine for about 6 weeks until just now when it was closed. I'm guessing IP address did me in? Here's the email I got:

--------------
This is to inform you that we have discovered a multiple account under
the Player ID: xxxxxx which has now been closed. Your primary account,
xxxxxx, has been left open and you may continue using it to play as
normal.

For security reasons and per our site rules, we allow only one Full Tilt
Poker account per player. Unfortunately, we cannot allow you to use any
account other than your primary account. If you would like a full
explanation of our site rules, please visit our website at:
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/siteRules.php.

Please email us from the email address registered with your closed
account to let us know if you would like to have the remaining funds in
your account transferred to your primary account or withdrawn to your
payment processor.

We thank you for playing at Full Tilt Poker and appreciate your
understanding.

---------------------

So they aren't seizing my funds, thank god, but this still pisses me off. Why am I being punished for having had an account there since they first opened?

I really like full tilt, but I don't understand why they can't be more lenient in this regard.

Anyways, just sharing.

They should sieze your funds.

It is obvious to anyone with a mental age above 12 why they dont change the policy.

Im happy you got caught.

Whoa whoa whoa, what's with the hostility?

Do you not think that everyone should have the right to rakeback?

Not if they signed up through another affiliate.

Rakeback isnt a right, its a privilege.

I stuck without rakeback at two of my favourite sites, suck it up and deal with it.

Well, nobody is actually going to do that at Full Tilt, but your point stands I guess.

Its a right if they want my business. Or something comparable to rakeback such as Stars...

I had a no rakeback fulltilt account, wanted rakeback so went to one of the prominant 2+2 affiliates who got the account moved to them. It was very straightforward.

(I never got round to playing because I'm very happy at Stars.)
