Default $1 SnG, Playing mid PPs in later stages?

6 Handed. Blinds 150/300.

BTN with 1830.
SB with 2495.
BB with 2960.
UTG with 2290.
She with 3635.
CO with 1790.

She: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Pre-flop:
UTG folds. She...???

I have no idea what to do w/ mid pps when the blinds get higher and I have ~12bbs. I am guessing it comes to a point where I should fold/raise since there's not even enough ppl to give me odds to play for set value... but I'm not sure where that line is. Would you open-raise 77+ and fold the rest? Also, from what positions and what if there are limpers in front. Should you play mid-pps late in the game the same way you would play high pps (JJ+)? Game plan here?

i think this is a push, but i think this could be a leak of mine. this should be push or fold territory being that your effective stack is just less than 10BBs

It may be a leak in my game, but I fold mid PPs in early position with large blinds. Maybe your big stack makes it playable. IMO, it is a fold/raise situation. Personally, I wouldn't push with 88 and 4 left to act- at $1 buy-in there is a good shot you get called.

Yeah, my bad. I think you're right... According to SNGEGT it seems to be an unexploitable push. *sigh* (I folded)

i dont see how you can raise here, if you do, your commitied, nobody left to act has more than 10 BBs so you will be commited so you might aswell maximixe your fold equity with a push, or get out of there with a fold

Wow, I need to reassess my handling of middle PPs. I will have to play with it in SNGEGT, but I wonder if it is still unexploitable given the wide call ranges at $1 buy-in.

I supposed I was looking at that She had the big stack, but you are right that any action beyond your raise would leave you pot committed. P/F does makes sense- I would lean towards fold but SNGEGT seems to disagree, so I need to reconsider that.

Effective stacks are 10bb.

Push.

What is an unexploitable push?

And what are the calling ranges of the players in the ICM calculator? Wouldn't it have to be really loose given that it's a $1 SnG and they're all under 10bbs?

This push is unexploitable, i.e. there are NO CALLING RANGES YOU CAN ASSIGN TO THE BLINDS TO MAKE THIS PUSH -EV

Hint: If you google "unexploitable push" the 3rd result is this 2p2 thread. Link

Also, since this is an unexploitable push it's not as read-dependent so it's not as important what the other players calling ranges are. (Which is nice for me because I have almost no clue at how to put ppl on ranges anyway.)
