NL 25: AA faces flop raise
Villain has 50/8/0,7 over 100 Hands.
His low Af makes me wonder... Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $38.70 Hero: $29.85 CO: $39.65 Button: $14.15 SB: $11.75 BB: $24.25 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, SB calls, BB folds. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($2.25, 2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $2, SB raises to $5.75. Hero ? I think Villain could raised with TP, straight, set, maybe a draw combined with Middle-Bottom-Pair. So what to do here ? |

Re: NL 25: AA faces flop raise
Dude, look at stacks. SB is short. Get it in.

Re: NL 25: AA faces flop raise
SB is basically pot committed. I would put all the money in the middle.
Just wondering if there is there any possibility of folding or calling at this point from anyone? |

Re: NL 25: AA faces flop raise
I push. If he wasn't short stack, I would call and reevaluate turn (probably folding if the card didn't improve my hand and he bets pot).

Re: NL 25: AA faces flop raise
this could be so many hands (AJ/KJ, a draw, etc) and he is short. time to get it in in my opinion

This is at least a call.
Shoving is definitely the best choice. |

Re: NL 25: AA faces flop raise
Probably a flush/gutshot combo draw, lots of shorties will even do this with TPGK so just get it in. Occasionally you'll see a set but usually you just take his money.

Re: NL 25: AA faces flop raise
Push the shorty in... no question. Even if you're behind 2 pair you have outs. Backdoor the flush
I've been getting raised with AA and KK as overpairs a LOT lately by opponents that must be thinking I'm c-betting w/AK and missed (I c-bet almost every flop against 1 opponent when I'm the PF raiser), and they end up showing me TPWK or middle pair after I set them all in. |
