Default Beat: Old Lady Dealers

I was playing 2/3 no limit at Oceans 11 earlier and got ass raped.

I have 96 on the button, and there are 5 limpers in front of me, so I limp. The BB makes it 10, and everyone calls. The flop comes 997 with two diamonds. SB leads for 25, and only the CO calls. I reach for a stack of chips intending to raise, and the dealer burns a card and starts to turn over the turn card. I scream, "Wait! Wait! Wait!" But it is too late, the turn card is over, and it is another 7.

She calls the floorman over, and he rules that I can make my move, and that the 7 will be reshuffled into the deck. I take him to the side and try to argue, but he just says there is nothing he can do. I was going to raise 100 more on the flop, so I just raised 100 more. They flip over the card that would have been the river on the turn, and it is the 4 of diamonds. The CO for sure hit it, moves all in, and I have to fold.

I get up and go talk to the floorman. I tell him, that since I would have made a full house on the turn I would have won the hand. He tells me that they dealt the actual river card though, so the guy would have made his flush. I say, "YES, but I would have made a full house on the TURN!"

I tell him that I love there casino, and play there all the time, but I am very upset that they are refusing to do anything for me. He just keeps saying their is nothing he can do.

I walk back to the table, grab my chips, cash out, and walk out the door. I was on crazy monkey tilt. [censored] old woman dealers, and [censored] Oceans 11 for not doing [censored] for a regular player when they [censored] up.

Dealing the river card as the turn and then reshuffling is pretty standard. I might skip a tip or two for the dealer, but I certainly wouldn't make a big deal about it.

I know you are upset, and that it was entirely the dealer's fault for not paying attention, but this is a very standard decision.

honestly, who cares dude. random cards are random cards. thinking that what "would have been" the turn/river card really matters is just an excuse for not being able to see past the short run.

If you feel that bad, don't tip the dozy cow all night. And give her EVIL EYES now and again, just to show her who's boss. Or just chalk it up to playing poker live, and deal with it.

I prefer EVIL EYES.

The ruling was SUPER Standard. If you didn't get this ruling you should piss and moan. As for "old lady dealers," have you ever made any mistakes ina any job you've done? If not, wail away, if you hae, quiet down and carry on like a man not a little goooooil.

TL;DR;TR
1. Flop weak trips in unlimited edition of holdem
2. Not understand standard casino procedure
4. Base thought process on results
3. Profit
5. Jump in a grease fire
