Anyone notice that with the new PokerRoom website update, the rake has changed and the player points has changed?
I'm at $0.10/$0.25, but I noticed that it takes at least $0.05 out of every pot once the flop is seen, regardless of the amount in the pot. I saw a 50c pot with 5c rake taken out of it. 10c still comes out of a $1 pot also. Also, the player points now have the following rules for holdem http://www.pokerroom.com/help/faq/in...p;categoryId=3 1 point for every raked real money hand where the rake was $1.00 or more. You get 0.5 points for every raked real money hand where the rake was less than $1.00 (but more than $0.50). You do not have to pay rake to earn points, you just need to be dealt cards. If you are sitting out you will not earn any points. NOTE: This schedule has been (and may again be) reworked to even out the possibilities to earn points in the different games. Anyone else notice? |

How was it structured before?

The player points were like this:
You will receive 0.07 in points for every $0.10 paid in total rake. For example, if the rake at your table is $1, everyone at the table will receive 0.70 in points. Not sure about the Rake, its just that the website changed last night and its written differently now. It may not have taken effect yet, not sure. |

Its a funny structure. It used to be like this (and still appears to be in the games themselves). Looks like this for $0.10/$0.25 NL:
less than $1 pot = 5c rake greater than =$1, less than $3 = 10c rake greater than =$3, less than $8 = 25c rake greater than =$8 = 50c rake capped This structure is great for big pots, because of the 50c cap. But the new website says 5% upto $3 which is standard. Obviously reality and the website differ. |
