(PS $3/$6): A-High Calldown
Villain was 24/16/35/3/4/2.3 after 284 hands (VP$IP/PFR/WSD/AF-F/AF-T/AF-R). My only table read is that he re-raised a button steal with ATo from the SB.
Also, my plan was to fold if another diamond or broadway hit. PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls. Flop: (6.33 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) BB bets, UTG folds, Hero calls. Turn: (4.16 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets, Hero calls. River: (6.16 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 8.16 BB Scott |

villain looks aggro. He has to have a flush draw 1 time in 8 for you to make the call.
I suppose that its fine. he's never got a better ace. |

IMO dumb call down, probably worked out since your posting it here for an ego boost and have been running well lately.

Re: (PS $3/$6): A-High Calldown
I would've folded on flop and waited for a better time to call down. Too much risk, even if he is on a draw and you are planning to call down if no draw card hits, then he could easily catch a small pair and since he'd bet regardless if he has a pair or not on turn and river, why risk with only Ace high. It becomes a hard decision when facing the bet on the turn and river. Why put yourself in such an unwarranted difficult position? I'd rather raise and take control of the hand so I have an added chance of winning the pot without an unwanted showdown.
Give up a possibly small positive expectation play and wait for a play with that player with greater expectation. |

Re: (PS $3/$6): A-High Calldown
meh, I fold the flop.
It's both a good thing and a bad thing that you hold the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. It's good because it gives you a back door draw. It's bad because it makes it less likely that BB is betting a flush draw on the flop. |

Re: (PS $3/$6): A-High Calldown
That's a sucky river for you, might be able to fold there. I would usually fold turn I think, but this isn't awful or anything.
