QQ hand
SB is not terrible (28/18/1.6) and sometimes tricky.
UTG is unkwown. I'm interested in a line from the turn onward because I've got no clue. Absolute Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $3/$6 4 players Converter Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG (poster) checks, Button folds, SB calls, Hero raises, UTG calls, SB calls. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6SB, 3 players) SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, SB calls. Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4.5BB, 3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks. Re: QQ hand
I bet the turn. The way you played, at least bet the river.
When I see UTG posters I pretty much assume they suck, so I think you're losing a good amount of value here. |

Re: QQ hand
Bet the turn, why check here? UTG limps can mean so many things, including a lot of A's, maybe he hit the 7 and wants to pay you off. SB could be holding a number of hands, that he just called implies it's more of a drawing hand (and he wanted BB to call, along with UTG). Should rule out hands like AK, and mid-PP's.

Re: QQ hand
If I bet the turn and both players call, how do you play the river?
If I bet the turn and only the decent player calls, how to play the river? I assume I should fold to any raise? Also, my reasoning for checking the turn was that the only possible draw just got there. But I know I'm being overly paranoid and realize I have no way of finding out where I'm at if I don't bet. |

Re: QQ hand
I would still bet the river if both players call and also if only 1 player calls. It's a great board to valuebet pairs of 4,7,8 and T on. You will run into a pair of K's a decent percentage of the time, but I think this doesn't outweigh the profit you make by valuebetting this hand when they don't have a K.
When you get raised it's time to give up, there's not much you beat anymore at that point. |

I keep betting for value until I meet resistance.

Re: QQ hand
*grunch*
I'd bet/fold the turn. Villain has shown no strength, so assuming he's slow playing is a mistake. This is unlikely card to try a check-raise bluff, so I would fold to a raise. Since you checked the turn, I definitely bet the river for value. UTG will call with any pair here. |
