Re: 99 3bet pot
It seems to me that the confounding issue in this hand is villian's check on the flop. Because Villian isn't overly aggressive, his three bet pre flop probably means a large PP or AK and maybe AQ depending on his thoughts on your image. The check on the flop doesn't clarify much, nor does the bet on the turn, as he could have sensed weakness from your flop check and tried to take it down there. However, hie relatively large bet on the river makes it clear to me that he had a big hand and slowplayed the flop. I dont know what he could have put you on to make him think you would call the turn and fold the river to a 3/4 pot bet. Therefore, I fold.
If the turn was a 3, I still fold. The only way the jack's presence changes things is if you put KJ and AJ in his preflop 3-bet range, and since I don't, the J is irrelevant. I think a tougher question is whether you fold to the turn bet. I think he does this a decent amount if he senses weakness in your hand, and since you have position I think I call that bet and hope he checks the river so you can instantaneously check behind. |
