so weve all had those encounters of talking to idiots about poker who always say the same stupid things (as mentioned in Sir Moonshines post)

this one time i was playing..blah blah blah not even a real bad beat ect ect

so my friend we call Spanish is ur typical loud inappropriate in public kind of kid who has a habit of just throwing other peoples business on the table to strangers. One of his friends from high school was up hanging around over winter break and Spanish tells him i havent worked in like a year and just play poker for money, which doesn't bother me that he did really im used to it by now more or less. His friend says he really doesnt know anything at all about poker.

later in the nite we re just sitting around and he looks over at me in one of those moments where people feel awkward if they're not engaged in conversation and asks "so whens ur next like poker gig or whatever" I kinda laughed to myself at that one.

i tell him i mostly just play online so I can just play whenever, he then asks me "so like are u pretty good then" i say something to the extent of the more ive played the more ive learned the me from before 6 months ago, a year ago 3 years ago really wasn't nearly as good as he thought he was which he responded to with " i dont get what ur talking about, its over my head" at which point i let the conversation die and went back to watchin the game.
