What to do in Thailand/Bangkok?

Hi everyone.

I'm visiting Thailand for a few weeks with my parents and my sister. We've been in Bangkok for a few days, but are now in a town called Cha-am or something similar. Any suggestions on what I shouldn't miss here? We're returning to Bangkok in a few days and will be staying there for about another week.

go up to nong khai and then cross into laos. go to luang prabang. go to the sea.
