Default \"My\" variance v \"My accounts\" variance?

I havent been able to work this one out in my head....I can make somewhat coherent thoughts to both ends.

Heres my Q though.

My girlfriend plays on my account sometimes. When she runs well does this detract from me running well on the same account? When she runs bad does this make me more likely to run well? Or will her lifetime variance be seperate from mine regardless of where/what account she plays on?

Thoughts?
Evan

Not only do your girlfriend's past results not affect your future results, but your past results don't affect your future results.

At least not in the way you are asking about.

Mostly flaming people.

So everyone is so confident in the random number generators to say that it could never possibly be correlated to the account.

What about the people who have usual swings on most sites but get absolutely crushed on one or two sites while playing on all during the same time period.

I reg play two sites....often one I run like god on while the other I get killed on....while playing 2-3 games from each site at the same time.

If this was such a dumb question then how is this resonable.

you have absolutely no idea how variance works. seriously, what you just said is analogous to saying:

with one coin, i flipped it 10 times and got 7 heads. with another, i only got 3 heads. if they are the same, how is this reasonable.

Alright...maybe variance is the wrong word. However I associate the normal up and down swings of poker with variance.

My question is this....
the general thinking is that "I" will have normal up and downs....no my account. However if I am having the usual ups and downs shouldnt it be uniform across sites? I could understand if I was up slightly on on site and down slightly on another..however it happens often enough that I cant lose on one and cant win on another...that it makes me ask if its site related.

Therefor...if I play X hrs on AP I will have X upswings and X downswings so to speak....but is it that those swings happen to me or to my account.

Meh maybe Im not wording things well at all....and Im usually fairly stupid.

I guess Ill just drop it.

Just play on separate computers since the RNG's read your computer's data not your account data. You could also call support and ask them to turn of your doomswitch at the first sign of a downswing.
