Starter buy-in for NL full-ring for a min-bet guy
I am a decent winner at .25-.5 min-bet (1.6/100BB) for 37K hands, I know small sample...) and a short-term winner at the $5 and $10 NL SnG's (only 40). I have a bankroll of $900 and want to play full ring cash NL. .05-.10 doesn't really seem worth the effort, but should I put in the work at that limit or go straight into .10-.25?

Re: Starter buy-in for NL full-ring for a min-bet guy
From the SSNL FAQ ( here):
Q: What's the proper bankroll for each limit? A: General consensus is that a player should keep at least 20 buyins for each limit he's playing. Excluding poor beginner play, bad bankroll management is the biggest reason that new players go bust. Do yourself a favor and only play in games you can afford. Limit: $0.01/$0.02 | Needed: $40 ($100 on Stars) Limit: $0.05/$0.10 | Needed: $200 Limit: $0.10/$0.25 | Needed: $500 Limit: $0.25/$0.50 | Needed: $1000 Limit: $0.50/$1.00 | Needed: $2000 Limit: $1.00/$2.00 | Needed: $4000 Limit: $2.00/$4.00 | Needed: $8000 ...looks like you're rolled! Good luck. |

Try the $10NL until you are comfortable playing cash games. You will make more money at it than .25/.50 limit games if you play well. 10bb/100 ($2.00) should not be a problem.

1.6/100 seems a bit low for NL I think you should be aiming for at least 5/100.You should find 6 maxNL far more profitable for a winning player rather than full ring.

Re: Starter buy-in for NL full-ring for a min-bet guy
Not to mention that "aiming" for a winrate is pointless until you've established the winrate for your present level of knowledge. If you're a losing player, then breaking even is a viable goal. If you're break-even, winning modestly. Etc.
