Default I just can\'t help myself...

There are three limpers and I pick up Q9o in the small blind and complete it. The big blind checks his option.

Open fold.

Just kidding - My default is the check-and-see in this situation. Any reason to bet? Charging a flush draw is not an issue, since an intelligent FD will bet themselves.

Maybe I'm missing something.

I would bet. There isn't much apart from a flush draw the other players could get off a Q75 flop. A larger queen hand tends to raise preflop with a couple exceptions.

Bet, you probably have the best hand. If you check, you're setting yourself up to be screwed on the turn vs 4 opponents.

Way too much hand not to bet - the benefits dwarf that of "check&see".

There are more limpers in that hand on a more coordinated board.

I knew I was asking for a "thats not the exact same hand!" type of reply. The question is what's diff about his thought process?

I know, almost as predictable as a "I'd rather fold than raise" post inducing a "why the [censored] would you fold?" reply
Anyway, fewer limpers + less chance somebody will bet + less big of a pot to protect + less vulnerable hand are key differences imo.
