When going to the bigger games works
Lost a couple of buy ins at nl $50 and decided to go and get my money back in nl $100. Luckily it worked out. This pot sealed the deal:

Re: When going to the bigger games works
This game was extremely loose/passive and so was I. Normally i would maybe have folded but you know how every hand looks playable when your down..

Re: When going to the bigger games works
I think this hand is played perfectly. Don't listen to the rock gallery. When everyone limps at a passive table, this is an instacomplete in the SB, just looking for exactly the kind of flop you got. The fact that they're passive is exactly what let you catch up on the turn and stack the guy. He deserves it for not raising the flop with a flush draw out there in a multiway pot.

Re: When going to the bigger games works
while this point may be valid for some people, playing hands like J6o in the sb is probably a -EV move for most players because even when you do you hit 2 pair or trips they can very often be second best hands. for garbage hands like these to be profitable, you need to play well oop and need to be able to make tough laydowns ocassionally. things most people playing ssnl cant do.
