Default I like watches

I play poker until I have enough money to buy a watch, then I do it again and again. I have lots of nice watches and i'm going to buy another one. I think i'm pretty set on getting one of these two. Please advise me on which is the best.

I'm leaning towards the second one. Feel free to suggest other watches but they must be similar in price. Also be aware that I have a fettish for gold so any steel/plat/silver suggestions will have to blow my socks off to be considered.

I like 1's face and 2's band.

I have a vintage Rolex very much like #2. I think that between the two-tone and the jubilee band and the size, #2 is on the feminine side. Thus, I like #1 better b/c of the oyster band, it's more masculine. I know you like gold, but I like this one better.

I'm not a huge fan of Rolex... I think your money would be much better spent with and IWC ro Iomega.

If you live in LA go to Feldmar's Jeweler and Watch.

Be SUPER careful about buying watches off the internet. Always call Rolex to make sure the site you are buying from is an authorized dealer. Even if the watch is legit... Rolex won't honor the warranty in some instances where the watch was bought from an unauthorized dealer.

Feldmar is good, FWIW Torneau @ the Century City Mall gave me the same discount on an Omega that Feldmar promised when Feldmar was out of stock.

I tend to prefer the oyster bracelet. I also am not a huge fan of 2 tone, but that is personal preference I guess. I actually prefer steel to 2 tone. I guess if I had a bunch of different ones I might have a 2 tone. I just tend to like the steel datejusts, explorers, GMTs and such.

Or...save money...lol.

If I have a net worth over a million dollars, I may splurge on a Rolex or something. But if you have no savings*, no retirement*, don't own your own home*, etc...purchasing Rolexes at an alarming rate is pretty absurd.

*Not saying this is you, Rolen.
