going to Vegas for new years. how to get in a club

I will use the search function too but if someone could give some pointers on how to make out the most of my new years vegas trip. Me and a date, my best friend and his gf will be going on 31st early morning and returning on 2nd.

We want to go to a club on 31st or 1st.

1) What is the usual cover charge for clubs like Tao or Pure.

2) any other good club recommendation.

3) I am not much of a dance person and neither is my date. Are we better off going some other place for the New years or 1st. if so, what are the least baller places to go...hahah.. I dont think i want to spend 100$ per person for the roof toop bar at the rio.
