Default Another overpair

My overpairs (QQ/KK/AA) are running very bad, win percentage of around 60%, it seems I lose big pots or win the blinds. So here's another one.

Villain is bad, very bad, lost 40BB over 130 hands, I like to play pots with him.

I'm not entirely sure about the turn c/r, but I guess that was read dependent play? Other than that - nh.

I hope you also use other methods to determine how good or bad he is, than just how much money he has lost during the latest 100 hands...

I abc 3-bet the flop.

He was just playing poorly, calling caps with K4s and such. He was a big loser on another table aswell.

I should have 3-bet the flop, for value, villain showed JJ, [censored] it holla.

But to call a 3-bet and to 3-bet are not the same thing. Had you seen him go über aggro post flop with marginal holdings ? Trying not to be result oriented, but I would get worried on the turn after the J lands and probably just call down.

I think your line was just fine.

You only smooth call the flop to set the CR on the turn which you did nicely.

The alternate route is to 3-bet and lead the turn.

Keep mixing both up.

Grunch

3 bet the flop, continue betting turn if just called. If capped by villain on flop, just call down the other two streets.

Turn: J could be a bad card since he might have just hit a set. I don't raise that turn. Villain has show strength throughout this hand.
