NL25 - Bad play with NFD??
I was tilting a bit from a couple of bad beats, and wasn't sure if I was making a good play or tilting my money away... UTG+1 was somewhat aggressive. I suspected a set after MP1's min-raise, but shoved anyway.

Re: NL25 - Bad play with NFD??
This is not terrible since MP1 is short-stacked. But calling is better IMO, to see what UTG does. you have position so extracting won't be hard against sets and overpairs.

[ QUOTE ]
This is not terrible [/ QUOTE ] lol, guess that's about as good as I could hope for. I ended up making the flush on the turn and it held up, but I still didn't feel good about the play, given that I suspected I only had seven outs and little FE (figured at least MP1 would call). MP1 flopped top set. I took a lot of crap at the table for making such a "terrible play". In hindsight I think calling would have been much better, since it would probably at a minimum have gotten UTG+1 to call. But I figured if I hit I might not have gotten paid off with the obvious flush on the board, unless one of them made a smaller flush. I didn't like the idea of just calling with UTG+1 to act behind me. |
