25NL -- Am I making large errors?
These are some of the first hands with these 'villains,' so reads are pretty much non-existant.
I beat NL10 easily but when I try a shot at 25NL I lose. Part of this is running bad (KK v. AA pf, etc.), but I'm afraid I might have some leaks. Is there anything I should have done differently in these hands? Re: 25NL -- Am I making large errors?
1) 1 preflop and I'd usually check flop, but c-betting is fine too. River is probably a close fold but I don't mind the call.
2) Good, the board is so draw heavy that I wouldn't fold here. Preflop raise size is good too. 3) 4bb+1bb per limper preflop, so 4bb here. I'd usually bet closer to pot on flop but no biggie. Turn I'd usually 3-bet AI. Edit, for future reference: could you post the hands one at a time. You'll get more answers and more accurate advice. |

Re: 25NL -- Am I making large errors?
Hand 1
Hero is SB with TT. A WA/WB situation. Looks fine, but you could check-call the flop rather than c-betting against a fairly aggressive opponent (see the recent thread on this). Hand 2 Hero is BB with AKs. Preflop it's close regarding the raise into two players, especially since the MP tacked on an extra .1 to a 4BB raise, but wth, go for it, it's as good a hand as any. Post flop it's a call. Don't really need to see turn and river. Hand 3 Hero is Button with QQ. Is this your standard raise preflop? If it is, fine, but I hope you didn't lower it because you wanted a call. I would actually fold turn. |

Re: 25NL -- Am I making large errors?
1st hand: come out betting on the flop if youŽre going to call anyway!! You get a lot more information that way. if he raises fold (iŽd raise a bit more preflop)
2nd hand: looks fine to me 3rd hand: standard |

Re: 25NL -- Am I making large errors?
I use the "bet pot" button (which is 3.5xBB with no limpers), which is $.85.

In that case, I wanted to keep the pot small with 2nd pair, so I figure c/c is better than leading for ~3/4 pot and facing a possible raise. |

Re: 25NL -- Am I making large errors?
None of these hands contains a 'large error'.
uNL large errors include include being too loose in completing/defending blinds and playing drawing hands like 76s HU in raised pots OOP. |
