Default Email From Doyles Room Security Dept.

I assume a lot of you got this on the 24th. I just checked my email and saw it in my bulk mail box. Anyway, looked odd at first as i've never gotten anything like this from poker room, but sure enough i logged in with my old info, no dice, then logged in with Doyle's Room new pass they gave me and got in. Anyone know what happened to prompt this?

same here, I immediately thought that this was either a scam or the worst security idea ever. Later on I started to wonder if their player database had been compromised somehow.

Very strange

That is extremely odd... were there ANY links in the email?

At the very least, you should email their customer support and confirm the legitimacy of the email...

There was a post a couple days ago about this. A host said it was legit. Today my password switched over to the password they sent me but it all makes me feel a little uneasy.

I just got this e-mail like 10 minutes ago.

I'm not even sure I've ever played a hand on that site.

I fail to see how their password-changing measures make me that much safer irt the latest legislation stuff, etc.

MB, maybe there was an ownership change... which would make mass password changes a security issue. (The old ownership may have had access to the password file)
